Temperature outside: 8 degrees. Feels like: -1
I just heard a 6'3" Antinguan man sing "Stacie's mom has got it going on..." to my friend Stacie and I laughed really hard.
I've been in a funk the past few days and I can't seem to shake it. I know truth, but it's hard to believe that it's truth. The lies seem to make more sense. Any ideas to help defunk would be greatly appreciated.
Despite the funk, life is really good. Jill and I had our Only-Annual-Christmas-Extravaganza and it went quite well. Judging by the pictures we had about thirty people here...in our dorm room. We dressed in festive outfits and there was cheesy Christmas music, Holiday charades, a lot of food and hot drinks, and uproarious laughter. It also happened to snow for us, so that was a nice touch. And, all of the long papers are in. All that's left now is a couple of shorter ones, a couple of tests and some packing to do. It seems odd that I'm leaving. When I came I firmly believed I would graduate from here. There are mixed emotions...
There was a Christmas party tonight in J Alvin, which is the guy dorm. Some of the guys went and chopped down a 35 foot tree and stood it up, complete with lights, in the atrium. They also made a maze out of 5 foot high sheets of tin foil, taped together and strung up. Way more work than it was worth, but a good idea. The dorm is divided up into suites and there was a decorating competition between them all. One had an ice skating rink on their balcony...real ice. They had the doors open for easy access. The ice was impressive but those guys are going to freeze tonight. Another suite has decorated it like a lodge. Huge fireplace, gun on the mantle, antlers, etc. They went all out, and in the hallway there was "snow" and snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.
My professor actually used the phrase "worship through exam taking" today. I asked if he really said that. He did.
I have to write a resume for a class now. If anyone wants it, let me know. I need a job.

Do you remember when you believed that God could do anything? that God actually heard your prayers with an intention to answer them? Do you remember when you believed that Elijah was an ordinary person just like you and that if you prayed like he did, God would answer your prayers, too? --Erwin McManus An Unstoppable Force

Dear Jesus,
I do believe; help my unbelief.
amen.

I woke up with a headache today.
I've taken more meds than I should.
I've napped.
I've eaten.
I've had caffine.
I've had water.
I've marked things off my list.

It won't go away and I have a ten page paper due in the morning.
Any suggestions?
