Hello friends.
Today, I blog. There have been events in my life. Blog-worthy events.

-I graduated from college. I received that ever-so-important piece of paper. It even had a special little "cum laude" sticker on it...but they put it on crooked. And now I'm doing the same job I did in high school and honestly cannot for the life of me remember what I did with that little piece of paper. Oh well...

oh...and... I got engaged! My wonderful fiance, Daniel, planned for months, saved for months, and asked me to marry him. I said yes and cried, and tried to warn him that I don't know how to be a wife. He assurred me that he doesn't know how to be a husband either but we would figure it out together. Everything was perfect... literal fireworks, twinkly lights, a gorgeous ring, and the man I love on one knee. He took care of so many details that meant so much to me.

There was one other little detail that God worked out for me too. I had always wanted to be wearing a hoodie when I got engaged, even before I knew Daniel. I had never told anyone...I just somehow felt that if I was wearing a hoodie then he would be asking the real me, not just the dressed up image of me. It may be dumb, and I would have been fine if that hadn't come true...but it did. I was wearing my favorite hoodie. I just like God a lot. I like that He cares about dumb stuff like hoodies.

Daniel and I are going to wed on August 30. We have our ceremony and reception sites, officiants, d.j., and photographer. We've chosen the attendants and I've ordered the dress. There is still a lot to do, but so far so good.

It's more than a ring, but I love my ring. It's more than a wedding, but I am really looking forward to it. I just can't wait to do life together. I can't believe how good he is to me, and for me. The way he loves me has taught me about the way God loves me...just like it's supposed to. I love him. He knows me, really knows me. And he still loves me. And I don't mean to brag, but I think we're going to be really great.
